Page Design Basics

   New pages can be created by a user by clicking on the Create New Page link located under Page Tools near the upper right corner of the screen. Note that this option only is available when you are either viewing a category page or an item page. Make sure you are in the right category for the new page as the new page will be included in the current category. An "Add New Page" button is also available on each category page. Assign a name for the new page and click the submit button. Your new page has been created and you enter the editor mode.

   If you want to edit your Personal Profile Page,click on Profile Page under User Tools on the right side of the screen to view your page, then the Edit link under Page Tools to get into the editor.

   At the top of the edit screen is the Page Title. It starts out with the name you had just given the page but go ahead and change it now. Here you can use spaces, characters and numbers. This is what shows up in searches, the index, etc, so make it descriptive but not too long. This can always be changed later.

   Below the title is a gray box with all the tools and below that your "canvas'. Most of the tool icons should be pretty obvious (BOLD, Italic, underline, center text, etc.) If you hover the mouse over the icon for a few seconds a little description will pop up. If you are still unsure of a tool, then maybe you don't need it, but experiment. You can always recover from mistakes on a WikiValue page.
