WWII Italian Royal Carabinieri Combat Helmet

This is a very rare WWII combat helmet worn by the Royal Carabinieri. The Carabinieri were and and are a para-military police force. The flaming grenade insignia is their trade mark. The initials VE inside the grenade represents the Ialian monarchy, King Vittorio Emmanuele to whom the Carabinieri were loyally devoted over the reigning fascist regime during WWII.
