Civil War Era Sword Model 1860

Made by M.C. Lilley & Co. Columbus Ohio with a Kirshbaum Knight Head Stamp on the 36.5" Sword with 30" blade that has a good point, with surface rust that you can barely make out the faintly Etched Floral, Military, U.S.& Eagle. The grip is Ray/Shark skin missing the Brass Wire. The Counter Guard's Eagle is facing the Arrows held in it's Talons which signifies a time of War. The Quillion terminates with a Lions Face. Overall Good Condition for a real Sword that's about 144yrs. old!

Some good background on this sword found here.

The better the condition and the inclusion of the scabbard will get a higher price.
